The DC-9, built by the Douglas Aircraft Company, is a twin-engine, single-aisle, short to medium range jet airliner. The DC-9-30 is capable of carrying just over 100 passengers. It cruises at around 570 mph/910 km/h and has a range of about 1600 nautical miles (3000km). The DC-9 family of aircraft is one of the most successful series of airliners ever built with a total production of over 2,400 aircraft.

Endlich kommt die DC-9, nachdem Coolsky Prepar3d lange ignoriert hatten.
Wer sich fragt, ob die DC-9 das Geld wert ist: Mein Update von der Super 80 Pro-Box hat problemlos funktioniert, und ich hatte eben gerade kurz Zeit für ein paar Platzrunden in Köln (FTX Germany, Default-Airport) und eine Landung in Frankfurt (Aerosoft Pro). Die einzige Veränderung, die mir aufgefallen ist, ist ein Warngeräusch, wenn die Klappen gefahren werden und/oder das Fahrwerk nicht ausgefahren ist (exakter kann ich es leider nicht spezifizieren). Ansonsten funktioniert alles so, wie ich es aus dem FSX kannte. Die Performance ist ausreichend flüssig, so dass der Flieger in VR (gut) fliegbar war (gefühlt ist das flüssiger als zum Beispiel in der PMDG 737). Da die Bedienung der DC-9 nicht wirklich komplex ist und die Schalter ausreichend groß, klappt das Fliegen in VR auch von der Bedienung her ziemlich gut. Jetzt muss ich mir nur noch überlegen, wie ich meine Flugplan-Notizen und Charts in VR lesen kann.
Eine Sache, die zumindest bei mir auf Anhieb nicht funktioniert hat: Ich habe einen Drehknopf auf meinem Yoke für den Heading Bug programmiert, aber der Bug bewegt sich nicht. Aber ich hatte ja auch nicht mehr als eine Stunde Zeit.
Mein Fazit eines ersten Eindrucks: Ja, die DC-9 lohnt sich (die beiden anderen Flugzeuge habe ich mir nicht angesehen, mit der Leonardo MD-82 bin ich ja sehr zufrieden). Wer eine Chance hat, den Updatepreis zu bekommen, der sollte auf jeden Fall zugreifen. Es scheint so, als wäre die Box der DC-9 nicht upgradeberechtigt. Vielleicht hilft da ja eine kurze Mail an Flight1.
